MARVEL PANEL OF THE DAY
From: Spider-Men #4
1. Marvel Universe Spidey dances around the truth with Ultimate Universe Gwen Stacy.
2. We (being Agent M) fudged this a bit by taking three panels from a two page spread and presenting them this way. They’ll look different on the page—but just as amazing.
Oh Jesus, this hurt my heart.

What the magical fuck is this?
I don’t care if Scott dies, leaves Emma to be claimed by her Jean. But if Emma dies… I will be one pissy bitch.
>:(
WHAT NO
Seriously, if they kill of Emma in this godawful and pointless ‘A vs X’ nonsense I am going to be SO pissed off…she’s one of the best characters in the X-books right now.
I would be a happy woman if Cyclops gets killed off though. I cannot stand that character…personally I’m hoping this cover means Emma finally has enough of his nonsense and kills him. Scott’s probably the most boring character in the X-books as well as being a complete jerk…I wouldn’t care if Marvel finally got rid of him
Plus it means Jean can have Emma all to herself, without that asshole getting in the way of their love <3
But killing off Emma Frost would be the WORST idea in this whole crappy and badly written event…and there have been a LOT of bad ideas in A vs X so that’s really saying something
Getting rid of Emma would just be awful…I’d certainly not be buying Uncanny X-men anymore if Emma weren’t in the cast
please kill off Scott. please.
Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that Scott gets killed off. It would make all this A vs X nonsense worth it if Scott does finally get killed off in it.
Also I seriously HATE this cover. So much misogynistic bullshit going on here…Emma is STRONGER than Scott, she is SMARTER than Scott and she is BETTER than Scott…and that was before she got the powers of an alien space bird that turned her into a god
There is NO WAY that Scott should be able to overpower her like this…this cover, with her crying and terrified while Scott is choking her is just making me sick to my stomach.
The real Emma Frost would shift to her diamond form and take Scott’s head off his shoulders if he even thought about hurting her.
So, between you, me, and a hole in the wall (and this is from everything I’ve been reading in regards to the whole Marvel NOW! relaunch) it’s Mr. Summers’ demise that is in the foreseeable future. I haven’t seen anything about him in any of the October previews from Marvel, when the relaunch is going to happen, except in the time traveling original X-Men stuff, and it’s his brother, Havok, who looks to be part of the Uncanny Avengers title that’s coming out.
Obviously, I could know nothing about nothing but I’m pretty invested in the future of Marvel so I’m pretty sure Scott’s future involves a dirt nap that doesn’t include Ms. Emma Frost.

popculturesushi answered: My pull list today: Birds of Prey, Silk Spectre, Batwoman, Avengers Academy, Captain Marvel, and The Secret History of DB Cooper. Big week!
I’m really enjoying Amanda Conner’s artwork on Silk Spectre, and I love the whole sixties look of the comic. Wonderfully…
I was a diehard Marvel fan and pretty anti-DC until the New 52. I know I have an unpopular opinion but DC succeeded in at least winning over one new fan, even if they’re alienating their prior fan base.
I’m super pumped about Captain Marvel. She co-starred with Spidey in Avenging Spider-Man last week (a pretty fun title) and she’s a total bad ass. I can’t wait to read her series.
If you’re thinking of getting into Marvel, I’d wait until the AvX crossover event is over. After that, there’s going to be a relaunch of some titles, some redistribution of teams, and other things that might make for a decent entry point into the brand.

Although the Phoenix has been having a field day in Marvel Comics’ “Avengers Vs. X-Men,” its most famous host has been largely absent from the pages of the event — which makes an image revealed by Entertainment Weekly incredibly intriguing. EW has posted a lone image by Joe Quesada confirmed by Marvel to be none other than Jean Grey. Sporting an outfit reminiscent of her Marvel Girl uniform, the image is stated to be a tease of things to come following “Avengers Vs. X-Men” for an “upcoming initiative by Marvel Comics” that will “radically alter the Marvel universe as you know it.” Jean’s presence is not imaginary, it’s not a part of the Ultimate universe, it’s not a hologram. The character’s most recent death came in 2000 during Grant Morrison’s run on “New X-Men,” and Jean has stayed dead and buried (for the most part) ever since.

WHAT
YES
Jean Grey coming back? YES
Though that whole thing about ‘radically altering the Marvel universe’…I REALLY hope they’re not going to do any ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ style reboot to the Marvel Universe or get rid of the old continuity :(
But for now I’m going to focus on the positives to this: Jean Grey is coming back! YES! :D
Marvel has said that they’re not planning a reboot. But. BUT! Re-introducing Jean Grey into the Marvel Universe, I think, does fundamentally change things. I’d like to see her back, for good (you know, whatever that means in a comic book world), and have to deal with a world that she’s not the Phoenix anymore, and rediscover what it’s like to be Jean Grey.

The Fantastic Four Season One HC was like that, too, with it being told from Sue’s point of view. But then it came to Sue just obsessing over whether or not Reed will marry her. Or being Namor’s object of affection. Or using her charm to deal with the Mole Man. Or being told to hang back because she’s not a man.
Feminism!
